His first appearance was in Call a Clambulance!. Grouper has appeared in every episode of Bubble Guppies. Grouper's color-changing moments can occur whilst giving info to the Guppies (such as when he offered to be the traffic light in The Crayon Prix! to teach Molly and Deema what the colors mean), or even in the Guppies' pretend play (such as when he pretended to be a tour bus in Super Shrimptennial Celebration! to give Molly, Goby and Nonny a pretend Big Bubble City tour). He can even change himself into a wide variety of different patterns, such as when he pretended to be a cow in both Have a Cow! and Sheep Doggy! respectively, and when he pretended to be a big bumblebee in The Bubble Bee-athalon!. Grouper (most prominent in Seasons 1-4) is that he can also change his natural orange into a wide variety of different colors like red, yellow, green, blue, purple and pink. Grouper is a very good friend to all the Guppies.
